Signs of Christmas are all around our house! Our Elfie is under the tree in the nativity set, isaac getting a hot compress on his ets. Buddy the rabbit having some Christmas spirit and this adorable polar bear from Lizzie! 

Taylor saw Santa with his friends.
Lizzie made us an adorable lantern from School for Christmas along with the BEST card! I love her cards so much! We enjoy getting Christmas cards from lots of friends and family. It's a joy to see their faces and read about their families.
We had the Shields Family Christmas "Surprise" dinner at our house on Saturday night. We had dinner, gift exchanges and a talent show, also we had a reading of the Nativity. Taylor and Emily played "silent Night" and it was amazing! They played at church today too!

The kids had fun exchanging gifts with all of their cousins! 

Sunday we only had one hour of church. Taylor and Emily played beautifully in church and then we went home for a rest. Later that afternoon we headed to PC for a Wall Family Christmas Party! We had dinner, games, Dodge Ball, catching up with cousins etc.. and the SANTA Came! It was super fun and we all had a blast! We love Seeing Jennifer, Chandler and their adorable girls!  We even got to meet their new baby, Millie! She is so sweet! 


Tomorrow is Christmas Eve, we are ready!

We had Indian Food at a yummy restaurant this weekend! The kids loved it! 



Isaac and Emily both had holiday performances this week! Isaac rocked it on his trumpet and Emily did awesome on her dance songs!
We had a fun party at the Hawkins Family Christmas party too! 

The big cousin sleepover was at our house this year it was a blast! We had dinner, walked to Harmons to get a Gelato, did crafts, played games, saw Santa, made Christmas trees etc.. and then watched a movie!! What a fun night! 


Saturday we headed to Alta to ski all day. The ski was so pretty and blue and it was a fun day! The kids are doing great on their skis and it's a blast!

December!

My 41st birthday was this week! I had a nice, relaxing day full of fun and food memories. I went to brunch earlier in the week with some friends. On my birthday I went to lunch with Danny at Mazza and the we had dinner and cake with the kids that night. The kids all showered me with notes, back rubs, and Taylor posted  pic of me on his IG. I even got an amazing delivery of Chip Cookies at my door and it was so good! 


We had a very festive weekend. On Friday Lizzie and her cousins were in the Christkinglemarket at This is The place. She had so much fun! We shopped around eating Brats, hot cocoa, fries and Swedish Pancakes. We even saw Elder Uchdorf there, which was super cool!
Saturday we put our our Christmas Tree, decorated the house, made our Christmas Advent calendars, saw the New Grinch movie and Danny and I went to a work party that night in Park City.

We had a fabulous Thanksgiving week. Lots of time with family.
We had a delicious dinner at Megan & Colton's house with their cute kids! 

Then on Friday Alta had it's opening day and we went skiing half day at Alta! It was a beautiful day and we had tons of fun!  Only 2 lifts are open so Lizzie and Isaac really stepped it up and skied the harder terrain. We had a great day. 

After skiing we went out for japanese food at KoKo Kitchen. Then home to watch Elf and suddenly it feels like the holidays. 

On Saturday we met the Shields cousins at Classic Skating and then went to dinner at Chuck A Rama. It was a great day and we all had tons of fun!

Taylor went to the Highland High Sadie Hawkins dance on Saturday with Jane! He had a blast! She's a super cute girl and they have lots of fun together!
We are ready for Thanksgiving! 

Danny and Taylor have been doing some fishing at Strawberry Reservoir.  They have had a lot of success and caught lots of fish! 

We went to a book signing for Danielle Webb last weekend.
 She writes great books!

We did a youth stake mutual activity with the special needs ward and had a full Thanksgiving dinner which was so great! 



Taylor had a fun night of a "Friendsgiving" with his friends at Lilly's house. 

We went to the wedding reception for Joanna Remund this weekend. It was a beautiful event! 

We had another game night with our Trek Family! We had a blast with our favorite Red Fam!

The week of HALLOWEEN always seems like a busy time.  Full of lots of fun but kind of crazy too!
Halloween Day the kids were up and ready to go. We headed to the school to see them in their parade. and then I stayed in the classrooms to help with Isaacs class party. It was fun and the kids are really great!
Lizzie had a costume day at her dance class.
I got to spend some time with Jane & Lauren and the kids looked terrific in their costumes! 


Halloween night we had our neighborhood halloween soup party and then went out to Trick or Treat! It wasn't too cold and the kids had a blast running around the neighborhoods getting lots of candy! 

The next day was busy because I was in charge of Taylor's East High Mountain Bike Team party to celebrate the end of the season! It was for 125 people at our church. I spent the day getting supplies, balloons and setting up. It was a fun night and the kids all seemed to enjoy it! 

Saturday we tried out a pump bike park in downtown SLC the kids had a blast riding these jumps and going fast on their bikes.
 We are definitely a biking family. I thing we may own too many bikes!

Happy 13th birthday to Emily!!!
We celebrate Emily this week with lots of fun birthday celebrations! 

But first we went to the Nickel Arcade on Monday because there was no school. The leaves are SO gorgeous right now; yellow, red and so vibrant!  Monday night we had a neighborhood Halloween Party and it was super fun! 

Back to Emily's bday - we love her so much!  She is kind, helpful, smart, funny, athletic, nice, sassy and more! She had a fun breakfast, with huge "13" Balloons, then off to school. After school we had some fun she got a new bike, clothes, shoes. etc... We had dinner , her choice pasta/salad/bread/fruit and then we had Stake  Mutual.
Later I invited about 10 friends over for cake and games!  It was a successful bday and we are SO happy she's in our family! 


Danny and Taylor went fishing at Strawberry this weekend, and caught some good sized fish. Emily went to a spooky haunted house with her friends for Kate's bday and we spent a few hours at a park enjoying the gorgeous warm weather!


Saturday night we carved pumpkins, roasted the seeds, and then Sunday we went to the missionary farewell for David Forsythe. He is serving Guatemala on his mission, and it was great to catch up with family etc..
Halloween is in 3 days!

I took the kids to get flu shots and Taylor relaxed in this chair for an hour!  We have fall break last week and we went to St. George for taylors Mountain Bike State Race!
It was a great trip to sunny St George and lots of fun! 

We hiked around in all the red rocks, so beautiful!
Friday Taylor had his race in the morning so we were there early.  He raced awesome and placed 16th overall in the Sophomore Category for the whole state! 

Jeffrey raced for Lone Peak in the afternoon and we had fun watching him too! 

Good times with cousins! 



Saturday we hiked into an awesome slot canyon with lots of petroglyphs! We had so much fun exploring ! That night there was an big awards ceremony for all the racers at the Snow Canyon High School! Taylor got 6th overall for his division. It was a great event for his team.
