We got a Dog!

This is been a fun week! We decided to get a dog awhile ago and this week we did it! Here is Salty, a portuguese Water Dog, and he is adorable! ALL the kids and Danny are really excited about him and and we hope he's a good addition to our family. He is 14 months old and has lots of energy! 

We had a nice Father's Day celebrating Danny and our awesome dad's! Isaac and Lizzie have been doing swim team this week and had an afternoon of swimming with cousins! 

We went on a hike up Millcreek this week with friends, and then went up another night for smores and a fire. It's so pretty up there and nice and cool. We love it!
Salty had to get neutered this week and so he has to take it east for 2 weeks. Before he was in his surgery we took him boating! It was fun to have him on the boat and all the kids loved it!  He jumped right in the water and had a blast! 

Grandma & Grandpa Shields get home from their mission in Canada on Friday!  We are so excited! We have lots to do on our house still so we're staying with them for a bit. We can't wait to see them! 

Summer life is good! 

We had a lot going on this week. Started Sunday night at Seminary graduation for Taylor. He completed his D & C Certificate this year at seminary. He didn't love his teacher this year, so it was a bit of a struggle. So proud of him! 

We've had SO much rain this spring. Which means lots of night with beautiful rainbows outside. 

The kids had their last day of school! Everyone was so excited!

The very first day of summer we headed to Lagoon!  We partied hard all day long and were so tired. But it was a great day to go, not too hot, and no lines! Lizzie tried all the big rides for her first time and she did great!!! We had a blast. Taylor was at work, so he didn't come. 

Taylor raced in a MTB race in Round Valley this week. He did awesome! He's getting really good at racing. 

We are in the middle of a giant remodel at our house!
It's overwhelming, stressful but hopefully worth it later! 

Emily got her first phone this week! She has been very patient waiting to get a phone and was thrilled to go to the Verizon store! Lots of rules and restrictions, but she's happy to have one to text her friends.

Summer is here! 

The end of school is coming soon, bring on Summer! These two are so cute walking or riding their bikes to school every day. It makes me happy. 

I rode the "Little Red Riding " Bike race this weekend in Logan, Utah. We had a great day enjoying the beautiful weather! We had a great time! Go Team Cassia!

Danny went on a few work trips at the end of May.  He had fun with the students and saw lots of sights. 

Lizzie just ended her soccer season. She has a great time and played awesome! She loves activity days, they had a Japanese experience on this day and it was a lot of fun!

We had out last Stake Mutual for YW & YW this week. It was cold and rainy but the kids had fun 

Isaac had his spring band Concert, he loves playing the trumpet and does really well! It was a great concert. 

We had a few BBQ's and dinners with friends and family. 

We're thinking about getting a dog, so we visited a few dogs this week. Danny and I went to the temple one night and we celebrated Danny's 43rd Birthday!  

Lizzie had her spring performance called "Hansel and Grettel Eat Right" it was adorable! She did great at the dances and singing ! 

For Danny's birthday we had a delicious Vegan Fruit Tart.  He is lactose intolerant now and can eat no dairy. We had a yummy dinner and talked about all the wonderful things we love about Danny!  May is a busy, crazy month!
