Fall Fun

We had a busy weekend, but a really fun weekend too. Saturday was filled with soccer, getting flu shots, yard work, cleaning the church and another trip up Millcreek Canyon.
Our good friends the Hall's moved to Utah recently and we went up the canyon with them and their 4 kids for dinner, S'mores, fishing and fun. The canyon is so gorgeous at this time of year and we all had a great night-although it was pretty cold.

Danny took the kids fishing and they caught 3 trout in about 15 minutes. The boys were in heaven. We decided to keep the largest trout and cook it in the fire. All the kids ate some fish, and it was gone in no time. The boys had fun cutting the head off the fish, and burning it in the fire.

It was so great to see the Hall's, we haven't seen them for over 4 years!
Hopefully we'll see them more often now that we live in the same state again.
Now another busy week ahead.

September is over

We had a busy month of September, but I didn't take many pictures. Here are a few things we have been doing.
We enjoyed watching General Conference and relaxing at home while listening to teh prophet. In between sessions today, we took the kids, plus 2 cousins on a Fall drive to see all the gorgeous leaves changing colors. We drove up East Canyon and enjoyed the warm, sunny day and the beautiful scenery. The kids all gathered leaves and then we did an art project with them when we got home.
These two little Rug Rats have too much fun when they are together.

Taylor and Jeffrey hard at work gathering leaves.
Earlier in the month Emily went on a Field Trip with her Pre-school class to the zoo. I went along with her class to help, and the kids had a great time.

Emily goes to school at Miss Margaret's school and she has made lots of new friends. She has grown up so much in the last year, she had really matured. I can't believe she is almost five-she is counting down the days until her B-day.

Taylor is back into soccer again, and has a great time this season. They have all really improved their skills and are playing great! Taylor really likes to play Goalie, he likes to block the ball with his body and do the goalie kicks. He won't cooperate for any pictures lately, this is the best pose I could get of him.

A few weekends ago we went up Millcreek Canyon with our friends and Dave/Mono. We made a fire, cooked dinner and had smore's . It was a beautiful night and we all had a fantastic night, wish I would have taken more pictures.

This month has been so warm, almost hot. We have been spending a lot of time outdoors while it lasts. I wish it would last forever, but I know winter is coming soon. Off to bed I am so tired tonight.

Funny Family Pics.

We took some family pictures this week, thanks to my wonderful, talented sister Monica for helping us!
It's impossible to get good pictures of our kids, they usually do these goofy, huge cheesey smiles, or they won't look at the camera. Both Taylor and Isaac were not in a very cooperative mood, despite a lot of bribery!
Here are a few of the funny moments we caught on camera! Taylor decided he wanted to wear a Halloween mask, so we let him!

Here's Isaac being his usual funny self.

Emily decided to pick her nose as a joke, perfect timing!
Finally Isaac started giving some smiles. He was really sweet and happy for about 3 minutes. He has such a happy, fun personality I really wanted to capture that in a pictures. Luckily we got some adorable smiles from him.
All in all it turned out well. We got the pictures I wanted to get, and everyone left happy to go get a treat! Thanks again, Mono!

Catching Up

We have had a busy month with the kids back in school. The kids are happy and busy with all their activities. Taylor's soccer seasonjust began , and he just started Cub Scouts, Emily is doing dance again, and Isaac is spending a lot of time playing by himself (which is good for him)!
Danny and I celebrated our 11th Anniversary on Sept. 2nd. Marrying Danny was one of the best decision I made, and I have been happy for the past 11 years. He is a wonderful spouse, father and my best friends. Love you honey!
We actually celebrated a couple weeks early with a fun night away to Park City.

We went to "The Music of Led Zepelin" performed by the Utah Symphony at Deer Valley. It was a gorgeous summer evening, and we packed a picnic dinner and had a fun evening. We stayed at the Marriott Summit Lodge and slep in until 10am, it felt so good!
Thanks to mom and dad for watching the kids overnight.

In other news we are expecting baby #4 in March! We are so excited to have a new addition to our family. I have been feeling sick all summer and have had NO energy! I am due on March 10th, which is Isaac's Birthday. I am 15 weeks along and am starting to feel a little better, so hopefully the time will go by quicly!

Emily starts Pre-school

Emily started Preschool this week. Her first day was on Monday, and it was a rainy, cold day. It was the day to bring parents, so today was her very first day by herself! She was nervous, but did great and went all alone, a huge relief for me. She is wearing her field trip shirt, and showing her school bad provided by Miss Margaret. She has lots of friends in her class, and will have a great year learning at school.

She is growing up so quickly, we love you Emily!

Blackmail photos of Isaac

Isaac has been spending alot of time playing with Emily and her friends lately. They LOVE to have him in their games and to have him play dressups! He apparently likes it too! Here are a few hilarious outfits he's been wearing.
Danny, and the grandpa's are going to hate seeing these pics. but they are too funny!
He insisted on this outfit - with the sunglasses!

Here he is being a queen, complete with a royal crown.

And here he is as a blonde is Snow White.

I am afraid to ask him what he wants to be for Halloween, he'll probably want to be a princess!
Don't worry, he still likes trucks, trains and weapons too!

Thanks for including Isaac in your games girls, he has so much fun!

Back to school

Taylor started school today. I can't believe he is old enough to be in 2nd grade. I remember 2nd grade and I loved it! He had mixed emotions about going back to school. He got the teacher he wanted, Ms. Van Wagonerand two of his really good friends are in his class, so he's really excited about that. He is going to have a great experience in 2nd grade!
Here are the kids he walks to school with. They are so nice to Taylor.
Here's a few shots of Taylor and Emily. Emily doesn't start preschool until next week, but she was up and ready to go with Taylor. We'll take real pics. of her on her 1st day of school.

What a happy smile, hope he has a great day!
Love you Tay!
