Spring Break Continued...

Later in the week of Spring Break we went camping for a day to ride motorcycles, go hiking and play with cousins. The weather was a little cold, but it warmed up in the afternoon. Luckily it wasn't snowing or raining.

These little girls played so well together all day long.
Taylor and Mckay were busy digging in the sand. They dug a huge trench and played in it.

The girls digging the trenches and holes.

Taylor loved riding the motorcycles with Danny!

Emily and Taylor had so much fun playing in the dirt/sand with their cousins.

Isaac loved being outside all day. He was a good boy all day. He liked sitting by the fire, eating tin foil dinners and smores.

We had a wonderful, fun day. The kids were exhausted when we put them in the car to go home. They are already asking when we can go back.

Spring Break

We had a good Spring Break. It was fun to have Taylor home from school all week. Unfortunately the weather was cold and snowy almost all week! We are all ready for Spring.
Yesterday we went downtown for Grandpa Shields B-day (I forgot to take pics). Then we visited beautiful temple square, the flowers are gorgeous.

Last week we visited Great Grandpa Hawkins. The kids love seeing him, listening to his stories and playing on the swing. Happy Birthday to Grandpa later this week! We love you!

Happy Easter!

We started celebrating Easter on Thursday. We dyed eggs and decorated them with stickers etc.. Everyone had fun but Isaac, it wasn't a good project for him.

After church on Sunday we went to great grandma Shields house for dinner and an Easter egg hunt.

Grandma Shields with the boys. We love living near our great-grandparents.

We had a fun Easter. Taylor and Emily ate way too much candy, but they had a great day!

Fun with Cousins!

We met uncle Kimball, Brittany and her cute boys at the Dinosaur Museum last week (thanks to Becky for recommending it on her blog!) The kids had so much fun exploring, playing in sand and water and learning about dinosaurs.
Jackson and Taylor made a mountain out of sand.

The whole group in front a dinosaur skeleton. It was fun to have grandma Shields come with us.

Taylor digging for bones. The kids had such a fun day, we had to drag them out of the museum.

Isaac really enjoyed his dinner the other night. He had a big bowl of whipping cream to dip his hands in. He loved it!
Taylor, Emily and Isaac love their cousin Becca! She is so cute and they all love holding her and making her laugh.

We took the kids on a hike to Ensign Peak. They liked hiking and had fun seeing the beautiful view of Salt Lake.
Emily even wore tennis shoes for the hike. It was a rare day for her! She still insists on wearing her princess clothes and church shoes every single day.

What a fun, beautiful day! We are definately ready for Spring.

Spring Fun!

We have been going to the Hogle Zoo a couple time each week (when the weather is warm). The kids love seeing the animals, riding the train and running around like crazy kids. But their favorite part is playing on the playground at the zoo. There is a long slide shaped like a snake and they can play on it for hours.

Emily on the rhino.

Taylor riding on the elephant trunk.

Poor Isaac has to be contained in his stroller the whole time we are at the zoo, luckily he loves to eat. So I just bring a lot of snacks to keep him happy.

Here's a happy Isaac riding his new toy. He loves to be outside and wants to be more independent, so this is the perfect toy for him. I am sad to see how fast he's growing up, I'm not ready for him to be walking!

Isaac loves his new forward facing car seat. Now he doesn't scream everytime I load him in the car.

Last weekend we went to the Living Aquarium with the kids. It was a lot of fun, and the kids were thrilled to have Dustin along with us. He is a great pseudo-uncle to Taylor, Emily and Isaac. We all love having him around.
So far living in Utah is going well, we are all still getting adjusted but life is great!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

We celebrated Isaac's 1st birthday last weekend! We had a family party at Grandma Shields house. He had a good day and was in a great mood. He loved getting lots of attention from all the family. We just stripped him down and set him on the table so we could all watch him eat his cake.

We made him a cute caterpillar cake; thanks to Nat and Ally for the idea. He loved eating the cake and went crazy with both his hands.

Here is Isaac on his new bulldozer toy. He likes to get pushed around by Taylor and Emily.

We also celebrated by going to Chuck E Cheese with Aunt Natalie. The kids loved riding on the rides and playing games.

Isaac was sick last week. He had bronchiolitis along with a cold. We took him to the Dr. and they recommended getting a nebulizer to help with his breathing. He hates having to breath in the mask 4-5 times a day, but the treatment really helps his breathing. Luckily he is feeling better this week and is coughing a lot less.

We hope you had a wonderful Birthday, Isaac! We love you!
