Spring Fun!

We have been going to the Hogle Zoo a couple time each week (when the weather is warm). The kids love seeing the animals, riding the train and running around like crazy kids. But their favorite part is playing on the playground at the zoo. There is a long slide shaped like a snake and they can play on it for hours.

Poor Isaac has to be contained in his stroller the whole time we are at the zoo, luckily he loves to eat. So I just bring a lot of snacks to keep him happy.

Here's a happy Isaac riding his new toy. He loves to be outside and wants to be more independent, so this is the perfect toy for him. I am sad to see how fast he's growing up, I'm not ready for him to be walking!

Last weekend we went to the Living Aquarium with the kids. It was a lot of fun, and the kids were thrilled to have Dustin along with us. He is a great pseudo-uncle to Taylor, Emily and Isaac. We all love having him around.

So far living in Utah is going well, we are all still getting adjusted but life is great!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ISAAC!

We celebrated Isaac's 1st birthday last weekend! We had a family party at Grandma Shields house. He had a good day and was in a great mood. He loved getting lots of attention from all the family. We just stripped him down and set him on the table so we could all watch him eat his cake.

We made him a cute caterpillar cake; thanks to Nat and Ally for the idea. He loved eating the cake and went crazy with both his hands.

We also celebrated by going to Chuck E Cheese with Aunt Natalie. The kids loved riding on the rides and playing games.

Isaac was sick last week. He had bronchiolitis along with a cold. We took him to the Dr. and they recommended getting a nebulizer to help with his breathing. He hates having to breath in the mask 4-5 times a day, but the treatment really helps his breathing. Luckily he is feeling better this week and is coughing a lot less.

Turning one already!

Isaac is having his birthday next week. I am in shock that he is one already! This is has been such a fast year.
He was a sweet, happy boy even as a newborn baby. He loved to be held and usually liked his binki in his mouth. He hated driving in the car from the day he was born. It took him a few weeks to enjoy riding in his car seat, and he still throws a fit when we load him in the car.

This is Isaac's favorite place to be! He loves sitting in his high chair, eating a big meal. He will eat anything that crosses his tray. He has always had a big appetite and has never turned down a meal.

Issac loves to spend time outside. He likes going in his stroller, being in the backpack, or just sitting and enjoying being outdoors. During the winter he liked to be all bundled up and we would sit him on a sled and he would play in the snow while Taylor and Emily were sledding.

Lately he likes crawling around Grandma's tramp and getting bounced.

Isaac is crawling now and he loves to explore everything around him. He is happy to crawl around and open cupboards, pull plants over and eat anything that is on the ground.

February Fun!

Life has been fun and a little crazy since we moved to Salt Lake! We are all getting situated; Danny is liking his job, Taylor is havin fun at his new school and we love living close to more family. We've had a lot going on, so here is the summary.

We celebrated a fun Valentine's weekend with Taylor's sixth birthday. He wanted hundreds of cupcakes for his party, and he ate three. He is growing up so fast, and is a fun, helpful, cute little boy. We are so happy to have him in our family.
Isaac is finally crawling! He just learned all the sudden last week, and is getting into trouble already. He got into a plant, started playing with phone chargers, and rolled down the stairsall in one day. He is keeping himself (and us)busy. He is still a sweet, snuggly baby, who loves all the attention on him.

Last week Brett, Teresa and their kids came to spend the week. Taylor, Emily and Isaac all had lots of fun playing with Jeffrey, Mary and Spencer. We took the kids to an indoor play place, museums, hot tubbing, sledding, etc... It was a great week.

This group loves to eat! They were sitting at the bar every hour or two asking for more food. The kids really miss their cousin, and were asking if we could move to Arizona to live near them.

We moved!

The weekend of Martin Luther King Day Grandma & Grandpa Shields and aunt Natalie came to Boise for a visit. We had a fun weekend; going to McCall, sitting in the Hot Springs, eating at our favorite restaurant "Tony's". We also celebrated their Birthdays.

Then just two weeks later, we were loading up our stuff to move to Utah. This is Emily with her bike. She is getting really good at riding her bike with training wheels. The only problem is when her dress gets caught in the spokes.

Here is a picture of our family right before Taylor and Emily left for Utah. We owe a HUGE thanks to Uncle Marcus for driving to Eagle to pick up the kids. It was so nice of him and we really appreciate his help as well as all the other family members and friends who helped us. We couldn't have done it without you!

We are excited to move to Salt Lake, but we will always have a soft spot in our heart for Boise Idaho!

We are moving!

Sorry I don't have any pictures for this post, I haven't been blogging for a while because life has been crazy.
Danny was offered a new job in Utah and we decided to take the job. We are moving to Salt Lake in a week! So we have been very busy figuring out all the details of moving to a new state, as well as organizing, cleaning, packing and trying to get our house ready to sell. We are exciting about his new oppurtunity for his career and to be near family and friends in Utah. We have loved living in Boise for the past four year and will miss our wonderful friends and neighbors.

Snow Day!

We got a lot of snow in Boise during Christmas break. Taylor and Emily have had so much fun building snowmen, making snow forts and shoveling.

Isaac really likes being outside even if it's freezing cold. He is getting so big and he is such a fun baby.
