September Events

I couldn't help taking Isaac's picture before church on Sunday he looked so grown up on his way to Nursery. Unfortunately he didn't last very long, and Danny ended up with him all during church because he was crying too hard. After 15 minutes of soid crying the nursery leaders came and got Danny. Oh well, maybe next week will be better and he'll have more fun.
Isaac is finally getting bigger, he's a little taller, but not much heavier. He is saying a few more words; bubble, ball, shoe and dog are his favorites this week.

Emily is always such a good helper with Isaac, she is his 2nd mother!

We went to our end of summer Ward Party and it was tons of fun. The kids had a blast playing on the bouncy house, getting their face painted and getting candy from the Pinata.

These are Emily's friends that live on the street. What a great party to end the summer! Too bad fall is coming so quickly. I really dread the cold, winter weather.

"Soup is better than candy!"

Taylor said something so funny this week, I have to post about it. His class was reading the rhyme "Peas porridge Hot" and he got really excited about eating Split Pea soup. I told him I would make some for dinner the next day, but he said he just wanted canned soup. So he ate almost a whole can and was loving it. When he was done, he told me " Split Pea soup is WAY better than candy!" I laughed so hard, I love the funny things kids say.
Last weekend we wet to Deer Valley to see Grandma and Grandpa Deppe. We had so much fun enjoying the beautiful fall colors, and gorgeous warm weather in the mountains. The kids had a blast swimming, hot tubbing, hiking, playing games, eating ice cream and visiting with Grandma and Grandpa. We miss living near them and were happy to spend some time with them.

We went to Park City to ride the Rollercoaster and Taylor went on the trampoline, bouncy ride. He did great and did a bunch of back flips. Emily, Isaac and I went on the carousel and little train rides. Emily was thrilled with her little pony to ride on Isaac had fun sitting on my lap.

We all went on a hike and enjoyed a nice morning in the sunshine.

Isaac was so happy to find this basketball hoop which was just his size. He played ball for a long time and even started saying "Ball". Then later Danny got him to say "Football". I am so happy when I hear him say a word.

We all had a great time in Deer Valley, We love you Grandma & Grandpa Deppe!

Nursery, Dance & Soccer

This has been a fun week of "Firsts" for all the kids.
Isaac is 18 months old and we are SO excited that he will be going to Nursery! He didn't actually go today, we had Stake Conference. We are in shock that he has grown up so quickly! Isaac is such a funny little guy, he has a cute personality and an adorable smile. He is hardly talking, which we are concerned about. But he communicates just fine through grunts and pointing. He has a contagious laugh and loves to do what Taylor and Emily are doing.

Happy Half Birthday little buddy, we love you!

Emily started her first dance class this week. Her class is ballet and Tap, and was so excited. She LOVES her dance clothes; leotard, tights and skirts, and tap shoes. She was thrilled about her dance class until it was time to go. She got really nervous and scared when I dropped her off. I ended up staying part of the class because she was so sad. She is such a funny girl, so emotional and moody!

She is looking so grown up and mature doing her poses. Hopefully this week will go better than last week. We love you beautiful dancer!

Taylor started on his new Firebirds soccer team. This year the team is older, more coordinated and they have to follow more rules. Taylor did great at his practice and game.

Taylor is having a great year in 1st grade so far. He likes recess, art, gym and walking to/from school with his friends the best. He also likes to eat lunch at school and is always telling me to pack more food in his lunch. I guess he is a growing boy who needs more food!

Taylor looking like a 6 and 1/2 year old, we love you soccer player!

Labor Day at Lagoon

We spent a fabulous, fun filled FREE day at Lagoon on Labor Day! Natalie had free passes, that she earned this summer and she invited all the family to go with her. Everyone had a great time riding rides and spending time together. The weather was perfect and it wasn't very crowded. Taylor and Emily (But mostly Taylor) were brave and went on lots of scary rides.
All of these pictures are out of order but we had lots of fun!
This was a before and after shot of "Rattlesnake Rapids" . It was a great ride because everyone got wet and it cooled us down. Taylor got the worst of the waterfall he was completely drenched!

Taylor really liked this ride "Bat", he was happy because we were on the very front row.

Emily really wanted to fly a plane, so she was thrilled to go on the float planes.

Isaac and Rebecca even had a good time going on the Carousel and the Log ride. They both got a little scared when they got wet on the Log ride, but I think they still liked it. In the afternoon we were SO lucky; Grandma Shields came and picked up Emily, Isaac and Rebecca and took them home for naps. We really appreciated her volunteering to take them, and it made the afternoon so enjoyable.

Waiting in line for the "Dragon Fly", another one of Emily's favorite ride.

One of the favorite rides was "Wicked". It is so fast and pretty scary so Taylor didn't go on it this time, but he said he will next time.
All in all it was a fun and tiring day, a wonderful way to spend Labor Day!

First week of September fun!

Emily is still hard core into being a princess at all times. I really thought she would grow out of this stage, but not yet. She only likes to wear dresses, skirts or some sort of dance outfit. She will wear pants when required, but she usually wears dress shoes with her pants. The outfits she puts together are so cute and hilarious.

Aunt Mono made Emily this adorable skirt, as an early b-day gift. Emily loves it so much, she even sleeps in it. She loves the flower petals in the bottom, and she loves how it moves from side to side when she walks. Thanks Mono, I am SO glad you are crafty and creative, because I am definately not!

Danny and I celebrated our 10th anniversary this week! Danny gave me these gorgeous flowers and we spent a fun weekend in Park City. It's been a wonderful 10 years together including living in four different states, both graduating from college, finishing Graduate school, starting a new career, having three cute kids, and falling more in love every day!
I love you Danny!

Also last week we visited the zoo to see the new baby giraffe, baby snow leaopard, 3 baby tigers and baby elephant (not on display yet).
The kids always love going to the zoo and seeing all the animals. It's a great way to spend the afternoon.

Visiting Grandpa Hawkins

Last Sunday we went to a Missionary farewell/homecoming in Springville, and then visited Great grandpa Hawkins. It was a beautiful evening to spend outdoors.
The kids always love playing on the swing, hearing stories from grandpa, and seeing the animals at his farm.

We love you Grandpa, thanks for letting us all visit you!
